The apostle Paul explained to the Corinthians that the members that make up the church are likened to our physical human body.  What exactly did he mean by this?  Where did he get this idea?

This lesson takes us back into the Old Testament to show us how the children of Israel were joined together as God's people.  The observations that can be made by that old structure can help us to better understand Paul's meaning about the body of Christ, the church.  Through this study we can clearly observe the specific assignments and duties of the Hebrew people and how that foreshadows the functions of the members of the New Testament church.
